Is NearImpact free to use?
Yes — it's free for both participants and organizations during the pilot. There is no paid tier today.
Who can post opportunities?
Registered NGOs, charities, universities, and community groups. Organizations sign up, create a profile, and then publish listings as volunteering programs, events, or other community opportunities.
Do I need an account to browse?
No. Browsing the opportunities feed and the map view is open to everyone. An account is only required to apply or to post on behalf of an organization.
How does applying work?
Open an opportunity, submit a short personal note, and the organization receives your application in their dashboard. You can track the status — pending, accepted, or rejected — from your own dashboard.
Can I withdraw an application?
Yes. Any application that is still pending can be withdrawn from your dashboard before the organization has responded.
What stage is the platform in?
NearImpact is in early access. Posting, browsing, applying, status tracking, and the map view are all live. Organizations interested in joining the pilot are welcome to register and publish a listing.
